Airbnb announces a ban on indoor security cameras

Airbnb announced a worldwide ban on security cameras inside its listings, effective April 30, 2024.

Previously, certain visible and disclosed cameras were permitted in common areas. The new prohibition no longer depends on location or disclosure. The company also tightened rules for outdoor cameras and noise monitors. This announcement does not guarantee the absence of covert devices.
